If you already know you'd like to pursue writing, content creation, & publication while still in middle and high school... we want to help you start now! Keep reading, of course, but here's a quick overview of how we offer young Christian creatives opportunities to:

  • study academic skills specific to your creative call,

  • explore career pathways by interest,

  • access mentorship from professionals in the business of writing, content creation, & publishing,

  • start building a portfolio of published work, and

  • build long-term collaborative relationships with other motivated Christian creatives!

Freelance Content Creator Path

Creators Guild is designed as a starting point for most young creatives. It serves ages 11-17, offering engaging, supplemental challenges in reading, writing, illustration, music, photography, video, and all the skills of content creation. Those who complete each challenge gain access to the guild's Inner Sanctum, where our creators play collaboratively to create together & personal feedback from editing professionals on each quarterly challenge submission (plus, those submissions are considered for publication)! It's a great starting point.

Career Publishing Path

Anistemi's Author Academy is designed for the student who is serious and motivated. We offer high school courses that function as apprenticeships: aspiring authors are mentored by publishing professionals and learn by doing. Author Academy students earn high school credit while building an entry-level professional portfolio of published work and learning the legalities of the publishing industry

About Us: Our Story

It's no surprise that many young people want to be content creators today. The Christian content creator engages in nothing less than an act of worship he was created for. When believers purpose to pursue their creative calling as unto Christ (Colossians 3:23), they reflect Christ’s light into the darkness!

We believe the world needs more Christians bolding creating Christ-honoring content in the Internet Age. We understand that AI only increases (not decreases) the value of quality content made by minds redeemed for right relationship with Christ, The Creator of All Things!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him, was not anything that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:1-5

Our team saw the need for young creators to have opportunities to learn by doing. Anistemi Publishing is our response to that need. Here, creatives don’t just read about creative skills; they apply them to prepare for real-world publication opportunities.

Boldly pursuing your God-given creative call can be overwhelming when facing it alone; all kinds of fears pop up and pull you away from your mission. But you aren’t alone: Just like He reminds Joshua in Joshua 1:9, God is with us wherever we go! The most important mission of the Anistemi Team is to encourage young creatives and their families in that truth.

But our support doesn't end there. We offer simple but deep activities to make reading, writing, image analysis, design, publication, and content creation personally engaging, genuine, and meaningful.

Don't just take classes that teach you
about creative skills when you can practice using creative skills—all while:

  • being encouraged to recognize & use the gifts God gave you

  • growing in confident application of those gifts in light of scripture

  • receiving edifying input directly from publishing professionals

  • building your entry-level professional portfolio

  • collaborating with other motivated Christian creatives &

  • being part of the movement to uplift worthy words (Phil. 4:8)

Anistemi is a Greek verb used many times through the New Testament, "To raise, to rise, to stand up, to resurrect," (click to see the definition in Strong's).

Our founder, Janie Barbosa, started Anistemi Publishing in 2023 with the prayerful desire to nurture a space where creative members in the body of Christ can connect and raise up voices that boldly radiate the glory of Christ through creative forms. It's time to create like we were created to!
