What is it?

Anistemi Authors Challenge is the first step (of four) to becoming a part of Anistemi's elite Creators Guild. Members of this select society are known by the Anistemi Coat of Arms (pictured). The shield grants access to the inner sanctum of Anistemi's Creators Guild. Here, our Creators hang out, play games, collaborate, and–most of all–create!

Who is it for?

Though designed as the ideal starting place for age 11, Anistemi Authors Challenge is open to ages 11-14. If you're over 15, you can still join! Just indicate your age on the enrollment form at time of purchase, and we'll place you on a pathway customized for older creatives. PLEASE NOTE: Guild membership is individual, and members must have their own email address.

How does it work?

Completing sign-up grants access to the contender's private challenge course, once open on June 12th. (See challenge schedule here--COMING SOON.)

1. No prep for parents or students; each weekly circuit contains everything contenders need.
2. The Anistemi Editing Team reviews submissions for potential publishing offers.
3. All contenders earn certificates of completion once each quarterly challenge submission is reviewed by Anistemi's Editing Team.
4. Once their Final Challenge submission has been reviewed in the spring, contenders receive the prized Anistemi Shield.
5. Along with their shield, contenders receive an invitation to purchase personalized merch designed especially for displaying their coat of arms.
6. The Anistemi coat of arms is only available through completion of all challenges & is the distinctive mark of Anistemi Creators Guild members.

When does it start?

Guild challenge registration is a limited time offer. Registration opens annually, on April 10th–National Encourage a Young Writer Day–and closes on June 11th. Contenders are granted access to their challenge courses on June 12th, the birthday of famous YA writer, Anne Frank.

How much does it cost?

Authors Challenge is a one-time fee of $150 per student, per challenge. Cost covers all materials, patch, + shipping & taxes. Students only need access to a computer. For the full author experience, we do recommend writing by hand. However, handwritten submissions are not required. Students may type their submissions.

What happens after earning the full coat of arms?

1. The inner sanctum allows guild members to connect and collaborate with other motivated Christian writers, illustrators, and creatives!
2. Guild members learn the ropes of productive collaboration by progressing through training: Apprentice to Journeyman to Master. 
3. Guild members over 18 graduate or age out into our separate community for adults, Anistemi Creators Society.

Anistemi's Arts Program is a four-year sequence that equips serious Christan creative writers for careers in content development, writing, self-publication, or traditional publication. It is our premium offering, featuring: 

• Weekly, live writers workshop guided by one of the senior members of our leadership team
• Opportunities to collaborate with a community of Christian creatives motivated to honor Christ with their calling to create
• Exploration of the many careers that exist in content creation paired with...
• Professional insights into how your unique set of God-given gifts help to inform decisions on career direction
• Invitations to submit manuscripts for publication by Anistemi Publishing & customized feedback on the manuscripts
• Practice doing the skills of professional writers while starting an entry-level professional portfolio
• Optional add-on packages for one-on-one coaching sessions to support individual callings like self-publication, building an author website, and more
